Hi, I’m Irene.
I started KOEL because I believe yarn craft deserves a modern, beautifully curated space of its own.
There is something endlessly inspiring about the skill, patience, color, texture, and imagination behind handmade work. Knitting, weaving, crochet, felting... these are old crafts, but they never have to feel old-fashioned.
KOEL is my way of celebrating the makers who keep these techniques alive, while showing how naturally they belong in contemporary homes and interiors.
And one thing you should know... KOEL is just me. There is no big team behind the scenes. I make the magazine, curate the stories, answer the emails, and love hearing from the people who read it. That personal connection is a big part of what keeps KOEL going.
I love nothing more than discovering new makers, materials, techniques, or a handmade pieces that deserve to be seen.
That is what KOEL is here for... to give beautiful craftsmanship the modern stage it deserves.
