Fringe hit every runway from Alaïa to Calvin Klein this season. It did not stop at the wardrobe.
According to Tagwalk, fringe surged 93 percent across New York Fashion Week for spring/summer 2026. Alaïa sent thigh-high fringe leg-warmers down the runway. Roksanda put it on blazers and trench coats. Chanel, Bottega Veneta, Michael Kors, Schiaparelli. The message was not subtle: things that move are having a moment.
Fashion fringe in 2026 is not the boho festival leftover you remember. It is sleeker, sharper, and cut with intention. Which makes it exactly the kind of trend that translates directly into the home.
A fringed pillow. A throw with a long knotted edge. A wall piece where the fringe is the whole point. Chunky yarn fringe reads as luxe. Fine yarn fringe reads as architectural. Both are currently correct.
The runway gave you permission. The rest is just yarn and a good pair of scissors.
